We became the engineering team behind Via — a marketing calendar and project-collaboration platform that in-house teams and agencies use to plan campaigns, run projects, track time, and manage budgets.
Marketing teams outgrow whiteboards, spreadsheets, and generic task tools quickly. Via gives them one place to connect strategic priorities to campaigns, campaigns to projects, and projects to the calendar, budget, and people doing the work. Agencies run the same platform across every client account, with retainers, time tracking, and utilization built in.
Via had been in production for more than a decade when we joined. It had a loyal customer base, a large Rails codebase, and an agency side that needed new financial capabilities. Day-to-day work for customers could not be disrupted while we made those changes.
We kept the Ruby on Rails platform current and shipped new capabilities on top of it. Each change went through a CI pipeline backed by an extensive automated test suite.

Earned and scheduled revenue reports, utilization tracking, and revenue exports give agency leaders a clear view of the business.
Campaigns, projects, milestones, events, assets, and budgets live together on a shared marketing calendar. Teams and their clients can see what is happening, who owns it, and what it costs.
