We joined the project from it's early inception. We conducted a Roadmapping phase and interviewed all stakeholders to put together detailed project requirements. With these refined requirements, we've been able to bring the whole team on-board with this project objective:
To build a scalable, flexible e-learning platform to surface training curriculum for workforce professionals. To build a surrounding set of tools for the trainers that increase their productivity, efficiency, results tracking, community building and collaboration and reliance on the platform.
As HSG was considering other vendors, we knew we were the right team for the job given the technical expertise and experience working with other EdTech businesses and non-profits. Our answer to the organization's RFP was to deliver detailed technical specificiations and a working Proof of Concept (POC) solution that fully addressed the project objective. Familiarity with our work process and our bold move to build a fully-working POC instiled confidence in our ability to meet this objective.
Some of the technical challenges that we've faced and solved was implementing a Single Sign-On (SSO) across all different systems, building out a robust Admin Panel with data analytics capabilities, and creating a community messageboard.
Learners sign up and take the uniquely-tailored online courses. Full integration with the LMS system allows users to track their progress, notifies them to revisit the courses and issues digital certificate upon completion.
The community messageboard serves as a forum for workforce professionals to communicate with each other either in an open discussion or private messages, share teaching assets (such as worksheets, visuals, and methodologies) with each other and share all other knowledge related to the profession. The rich functionality of the messageboard allows for individual profile creation, customizable notification settings, full-text search into topics and posts, and messageboard moderation for admins of the system.
The admin panel has been built out for the admins of the system to have full visibility into the database, keep track of the learners' progress, and data analytics to gauge the success metrics of the program. Detailed analytics, ranging from the nation-wide heatmap of user signups, to line charts, to specific demographic breakdowns provide the stakeholders crucial information necessary to make the most informed business decisions to keep growing the program further.
