The staff at Opportunity@Work was manually validating job seekers' skills and sourcing candidates to their employer network. Source Labs was engaged to build a platform that automated and scaled these manual efforts. Upon successfully testing the platform's viability in the labor market we enhanced it to include numerous technical assessments-- automated coding assessments. The final product was a four-sided marketplace of job seekers, employers, volunteers and educators interacting together.
As the product was scaled, we assisted Opportunity@Work to initiate, hire and set up a self-sustainable internal full-time Product team. Source Labs has advised the organization and helped integrate Agile & Lean Software Development processes and methodologies within the organization equipping the team with all of the tools necessary for a full project hand-off.
The Source Labs team worked alongside Opportunity@Work for two years, bringing critical technology expertise to our organization to build out our first technology platform. SourceLabs helped build and integrate modern software development processes and methodologies. As our main Technology Partner they worked with us on identifying the business problems and inefficiencies and created high-quality technology solutions to address those problems. The technology automated and augmented the work of several internal teams like Customer Success. They brought new ideas and fresh perspectives to the table and truly cared about the success of our product and the organization. They helped us hire, train, and mentor our internal engineering team to take on the ownership and maintenance of the product moving forward.
